Hard work leads to perfection and that brings us satisfaction

– Second Edition –

On the 19^th of December 2019 we had the honor of hosting the second edition of A.C.S Atlas Invictus Winter Fencing Cup. The little titans came to the competition armed with patience and enthusiasm after several months of physical preparation and hard work.

There was a total number of 18 fencers that entered the competition, each and every one having a burning desire of winning the 1^st place. All contestants were divided in three different categories:

Girls

Boys – under 10 years

Boys – under 15 years

Even though most of them are still at the beginning of their journey, their glowing energy filled the room with excitement and eagerness. It was amazing to see them so passionately fighting for the big prize! Even though it was a close fight, they fought with pride and joy, showing respect not only for the sport they’re playing, but also for the competition and their opponents. Win or lose, after every game the athletes made sure to shake hands and show the proper respect for their opponent.

The minds and hearts of our young fencers are simply amazing!

Why are we saying that?

Every time one of them was losing a game, they had their colleagues fully support, even if they were competing against each other. Playing sports it’s all about carrying, love, team work, family and much more. Sports it’s about education. Although this is a one on one fight, our athletes teach us the greatest lesson of them all: you don’t have to fight against each other to win, you just have to be able to master and conquer your own weaknesses in order to take the big prize home!

The young athletes followed the words from Moliere. They tried to give and A.C.S. Atlas Invictus made sure that at the end of the competition each of the athletes will also receive a small gift of appreciation. We made sure that each and every single young athlete received a prize from Santa Clause.
